Team Nigeria Emerge Overall 2nd In Tough AJC Qualifiers, To Return ‘Home’ Wednesday (See Standings)

After their brave performances at the ITF West and Central African Junior Championships (AJC) in Togo, the Nigerian contingent has emerged overall second on the log.

Nigeria Tennis Live reports that the players won two gold and two silver medals in the individual event while they could only manage one gold and three silver medals in the team event.

The players battled majorly against Togolese oppositions who were ‘reportedly’ desperate to host and win, but the players still put in their best to ensure that they returned to Nigeria with something to show for their efforts.

After the awards and medals presentation on Tuesday night, the Coach Abel Ubiebi-tutored side left Togo and headed back to the country early Wednesday morning to arrive later in the day.
