Sani Adamu Goes Into Sports Clothing Biz

One of Nigeria’s top tennis stars, Sani Adamu has delved into sports clothing business, Naija Tennis Special can authoritatively report.
The Abuja-based tennis pro, who was at a time Nigeria’s highest placed player on the ATP Ranking, has been shuttling between China and Nigeria to finalize plans on his new line of business.
Adamu, who defeated Doauda Ndiaye, one of the top seeds  at last year’s Governor’s Cup Lagos Tennis Championship, confided in our correspondent that the sports clothing business was an idea that he had always conceived.

He noted that: “I have played in China a few times and I have met some guys there whom I shared my dreams with. They encouraged me to go ahead with my plans and here I am today.
“As a matter of fact, I wore my designer pant and top at last year’s Governor’s Cup which many people may not have got a wind of.
“I am still cooking the whole package right now and I am looking forward to coming out officially sometime in April when I go back to China to finalize the deal. It will include full tennis kits”.
On why he delved into such business, Adamu explained that he discovered that there has to be a time when one would stop playing tennis and will need something to fall back on.
The proprietor of “Top Pro”- the name of his designer outfit- averred that: “I have played tennis in Nigeria to a very high level, I have also played in China but then I realised that there would be a time when one will not be able to play the sport again.
“So, I came up with the concept and like I said, people over there have really encouraged me. Very soon, by God’s grace, I shall officially float the clothing line for everyone to see.
“I am also looking at starting a clinic for the younger ones to help boost our tennis because they are the ones who can revive Nigeria’s fortune in the game”.
