Roseline Nana Wins Another Title In Canada, Gets Quebec U12 Invite

Nigeria’s Roseline Nana has been invited to train with the Quebec U-12 tennis team after defending her U-10 title which she won when she first arrived Canada.

The Nigerian youngster, born July 2014, won her first U-10 title when she arrived the country less than a year ago, and she has been unstoppable ever since.

Recently, she defended her title in a spectacular fashion and attracted the tennis authorities in Quebec, who immediately invited her to participate in selection to join the U-12 team.

Rose defeated all her opponents in the competition without dropping a set, and consolidated her spot as the undisputed champion in her age category.

Below is the letter of invite sent to Roseline Nana as obtained by Nigeria Tennis Live:

Hello,

Congratulations! This letter is to inform you that you have been invited to participate in the selection day to become a member of the Quebec 12 Years and Under Team for the 2024-2025 season, based on your performance at the recent Quebec U10 Championship, Summer 2024.

This selection day will take place on Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 9:00 AM to no later than 1:30 PM, at IGA Stadium (285 Gary-Carter Street, Montreal, H2R 2W1).

Attendance is mandatory for any invited athlete who wishes to be a member of the Quebec Team.

Please send your completed registration form along with the $40 payment to Tennis Québec no later than September 13.

Already, the talented Nigerian tennis youngster is ranked 136 in the U-12 our of 490 players who are in the ranking system.

And having conquered the whole of Quebec in her age category, the former Lagos-based tennis wonderkid is looking forward to reaching the nationals, where she will gain more attention if she continues at this pace.

Our correspondent also gathered that starting from 2025, she will be eligible to play in U-14, because she turns 11 in 2025, and the rules state that she will be eligible by then.
