Road To Turin: Bulus Closing Up On Top 800 In New ATP Rankings

Nigeria’s Christopher Bulus keeps going up on his ATP rankings after some impressive performances on the tour in recent weeks, Nigeria Tennis Live can report.

The US-based Davis Cup star reached under 1000 in the Road To Turin ATP rankings after reaching the semifinal of the M15 Vasaa event in Finland a few weeks ago.

And after reaching the quarterfinal of his second week at the M15 Monastir event in Tunisia, his ranking points expectedly shot up even further.

Nigeria Tennis Live checks revealed that Bulus shot up the rankings after reaching his quarterfinal spot in his fourth week of consistent competition on the tour.

As things stand, the Tennis Innovators Academy (TIA) tennis prodigy is ranked 960 in the ATP Live Rankings as seen by our correspondent.

However, in the Road To Turin (indicating the year ending rankings for players who will be invited to the NITTO ATP Finals), the Nigerian tennis superstar is now ranked 934 in the world, a massive shift from the previous 970 he occupied.

His 53 spots movement pushes him further upwards on the rankings, an indication of his progress in the last few weeks.

If he continues playing tournaments and keeps raking in the points like this, it will not be too long before the Kaduna-born tennis star makes it to the top 500 before the year runs to an end.
