Sylvester Emmanuel may be on course to winning his first ever Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Senior Open Tennis Championship when he comes up against tireless Abdulmumin Babalola in the men’s singles final on Saturday afternoon.
The former Barcelona, Spain-based tennis star ensured a place in the tournament’s final courtesy of a 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 win against power playing Clifford Enosoregbe in the semifinal.

Sylvester, a former Nigerian number one, who had never reached the CBN Open final before now, will fancy his chances against Babalola, the Davis Cup team captain to the last tournament in Kenya.
Babalola on the other hand has had a pretty amazing tournament so far, and will want to consolidate on that to win the CBN Open back to back, thereby cementing his place as one of the best players to win the tournament.
