Quadre Starts 2020 With Grade 2 Junior ITF Circuit In Tunisia

Oyinlomo Quadre from Nigeria is expected to be one of the top seeds at the fast approaching Grade 2 Junior ITF Circuit competition holding in Tunis, Tunisia.

The world’s number 197 ranked player who narrowly missed out on attending the Orange Bowl and Eddie Herr championships late last year, has picked up from where she stopped in the previous year.

In 2019, Quadre became the first ever Nigerian to win all the tournaments in the country in a tennis season, and she did that in a breathtaking fashion, as she did not drop a set on her way to victory.

She also won her first ever Grade 3 competition in 2019, a development which shot her up on the international rankings.

In spite of these victories for her, however, she noted that she did not achieve her targets for the past year and believes she must do better in the new year to reach the heights that her ability and present form can take her to.

Nigeria Tennis Live checks at the junior ITF website revealed that Quadre is one of the players expected to give their opponents a run for their money as she is in the main draws of the competition.

With her 197 placing in the world, she is the third African in the Main Draws and only Nigerian in the tournament which holds from January 21-25 inside the Courts de Tennis de la Cité Nationale Sportive in Tunis, the Tunisian capital.

Nigeria Tennis Live will keep up with the player’s preparations ahead of the competition, and report how she’s faring in the tournament as it progresses.
