Nigeria’s Oyinlomo Quadre has won her first national tournament in France, Nigeria Tennis Live has gathered.

The Florida International University (FIU) student-athlete shared the piece of news with our correspondent during a brief chat.

After narrowly missing out on qualifying for Group II of the Billie Jean King Cup event in Kenya, Quadre left for France to rest from the rigorous season and recharge ahead of the next season.

And after taking the desired rest, she decided to hit the courts to start competing and that resulted in her winning a national tournament in France.

This is coming on the heels of the multiple awards the African Games silver medalist copped since the end of the College tennis season in the United States.

She was first decorated with the Spring Spirit of Service award for Conference USA for her relentless community service on campus.

And only a few days ago, she was adjudged the Women’s Tennis Scholar of the Year by the Conference USA, an accolade that goes to show that she’s as dedicated to her tennis as she is to her academics.

Quadre is expected to be involved in some tennis activities in the coming weeks and Nigeria Tennis Live is sure to keep our readers updated on the latest developments.
