Talented Nigerian youngster, Ohunene Yakubu, has continued working her way up the ladder of world junior rankings after another week of stellar performances.

The Nigerian teenager who recently got into the ITF High Performance Centre on the back of her outstanding displays on the junior circuit, is closing up on becoming top 700 in the world.

As at the last time the rankings were released, the younger Yakubu sister shot into the top 1000 players in the world.

However, in the recently released rankings on Monday evening, she is now rated 848 in the world, after moving 107 places.

This new ranking means she will soon hit top 500 in the world if she continues with her monstrous displays on the court during her competitions.

Recall that she was a semifinalist at the J60 Junior ITF event in Ghana last week but she is not listed for this week’s event which kicked off earlier today.

Meanwhile, Blessing Otu also moved 49 places to rank 1932 on the log as she continues to benefit from weeks of back-to-back ITF competitions in Accra, Ghana.
