Nigeria’s Serena Teluwo has reportedly traveled to the United Kingdom for a two-week training ahead of an African Junior Tennis Championship in Morocco.
The youngster’s coach, Moses Paul, told Naija Tennis Special that the player’s trip to the United Kingdom will further strengthen her skills and make her a better player as she looks forward to representing Nigeria at the junior African competition.
According to the man who is the brain behind MP Tiger tennis championship at the Lagos Country Club, Ikeja, Serena is developing into a great player and has shown this in the past few months, with impressive displays during training.
“Her training in the UK where she will also participate in a London Tennis Association tournament.
As a member of the British Tennis Association, she is allowed to feature in their tournaments from time to time.
“The training will help her prepare for the African Junior Championship and also help her get better at her game since she will be playing against other good players during her two-week stay in London,” Moses informed.
The 11-year-old girl is one of Nigeria’s talented youngsters who – with proper training and monitoring – will make the country proud in the coming years.
