Nigeria’s Phillips, Jebutu Storm Norway For Two Weeks Of Junior ITF Tourney After Abuja Championship
Nigeria’s Abayomi Phillips and Emmanuel Jebutu are presently on their way to Stavanger, Norway, for two weeks of junior ITF competition.
The youngsters who benefited immensely from the two weeks of junior ITF Circuit in Abuja, Nigeria’s federal capital, will be among the top seeds for the competition holding in Norway.
Nigeria Tennis Live gathered that the youngsters are on their way to Europe with their coach, Dominic, as they hope to keep up with their tennis development and growth.
Prior to the Abuja junior ITF competition, none of the players was among the top 500 in the world, but after the competition, Phillips has risen to 476 in the world.
Jebutu who got to the semis of the first leg abf quartefrinal of the second leg in Abuja, is now ranked world’s 956th player after sterling performances.
According to information at our disposal, the pair will be playing the first week in Stavanger before moving to Bergen for the second week.
As at the time of filing this report, the players were already on board their flight to the European country.
