In a brief chat with Nigeria Tennis Live after arriving US, Coach Abel said: “The PTR 2019 International Tennis Symposium is for coaches from all over the world and it is being held at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, US.

“I can that over 100 coaches are in attendance from all over the world and I am the only one from Nigeria.”

On how much impact the training has had on him so far, he explained that: “I have to keep in date with the modern ways of teaching and that is part of the PTR standard that all their Testers MUST always have a refresher course in order not to lower the standard of their certification.

“I have gained a lot from this event already, many secrets of tennis performance were also revealed in the process of the training.”

The tennis coach has since vowed to put to best use, the tricks learnt from the international symposium which costs a minimum of $800 (about N288,000) excluding flights and accommodation expenses.

Nigeria Tennis Live will report other developments from the training as they trickle in from the US.
