Emmanuel Jebutu keeps raising the bar with his performances in the United States of America where he is currently a student-athlete at Weatherford College.
The former Lagos-based Nigerian tennis player has been one of the players whose stock have risen since making the switch to the US to play College tennis.
Not only has his ranking risen since he left Nigeria about a year ago, he has followed up with his performances at tournaments he has participated in.

Recently, Jebutu was invited to participate in a UTR event in Texas, and only lost in the final to Bruni Britez, a player ranked number three in Texas, which indicates how tough the competition was.
The final match between both players ended 1-6, 6-1, 6-10, a clear sign that it could have gone either way at the end of the day.
Not only did Jebutu reach the final of the Singles event, he would later partner Britez in the Doubles final, but could not sustain the momentum alongside his partner to win the team event.
The Nigerian player’s UTR rating keeps rising and it currently stands at 10.51 and puts him among the Nigerian players with the highest UTR points.

After the match, Jebutu told Nigeria Tennis Live that his plan is to reach a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 13 UTR points on the ratings.
“It was a two-day tournament; Friday for the Singles and Saturday for the Doubles. It became tougher from the semis as a lot of students came around from different schools around.
“I am planning to play more UTR tournaments to get at least 12-13, even though we don’t get to play as many UTR tournaments here that can get me those points,” he said.
Nigeria Tennis Live will keep monitoring the activities of the Nigerian player in the United States and report every development to our teeming readers scattered across the globe.
