Ahead of the 13th African Games in Accra, Ghana, Nigeria’s Christopher Bulus has hit his highest ever ATP ranking, Nigeria Tennis Live can report.

The US-based Nigerian tennis star is currently in Rwanda, where he is playing the Rwanda Challenger series to be match ready and fit ahead of the Games.

He won the first round of the qualifying matches Joshua Muhire from Rwanda but lost the second round to America’s Noah Schachter who’s ranked 859 in the world.

In the second week of the competition, however, Bulus was unable to move past the first round of the qualifiers, losing to Stefan Kozlov, another American player ranked 706 in the world. The match ended 2-6, 5-7.
