Nigeria’s Amasiani Ranked No 8 African U-14 Player

13-year-old Chukwudubem Amasiani is now the eighth highest ranked U-14 player in Africa according to a recently released data by the Confederation of African Tennis (CAT).

The Nigerian teenage tennis sensation has been one of the best players in his age category and proved this with his recent performances at the African Junior Tennis Championship in Namibia.

Amasiani who recently clocked 13, won one leg and reached the final of the second leg at the U-14 tournament and is surely the top U-14 player out of West Africa after that outstanding outing in the Southern part of Africa.

The recently released ranking by the CAT showed that the Abuja-based teenager has played just five tournaments and has raked in 1220 points in the process.

If he continues this way, it may not be too long before Amasiani emulates Seun Ogunsakin to reach the pinnacle of African U-14 junior rankings.

Ogunsakin rose to the peak of U-14 African rankings and was unbeatable until he became ineligible to compete under the age category, and his younger counterpart will be looking to meet and even surpass that feat.
