Nigerian Teenager, Obasoto, Gets High Rating Inspite Of Loss To Top Seed At Junior ITF Circuit
Adebola Obasoto, the UK-based Nigerian teenager who participated at the ongoing Junior ITF Circuit in Finland, and lost his second round match, has gotten a good rating after giving a good account of himself at the tournament.
The 17-year-old was classy in his first match, defeating a wild card entrant in two straight sets, but could not transform his stunning form to a win in his match against Robin Erik Parts, the tournament’s number two seed from Estonia.

Nigerian Tennis Live gathered from sources in Finland that the youngster was a delight to watch even though he could not defeat his more experienced counterpart, losing 2-6, 3-6; a scoreline which did not show the real performance of the teenager.
“He played very well and put his opponent in very difficult situations which he rescued himself with using his powerful serve which is his strong point.
“His opponent’s experience was the more reason Adebola could not win on the day, but he is also gathering the experience by playing junior circuits all over the world. In no distant future, Adebola will also have same experience to defeat any opponent he comes up against,”Yemi Obasoto, the player’s dad noted.
Nigerian Tennis Live will keep monitoring the player’s development and do follow ups on the tournaments he participates in.
