Eyes on the ball… FOCUS! |
The Nigerian starlet who has been at the Nick Bolleteri Tennis Academy in Bradenton, Florida, for a little over a year, is making her debut at the age grade ITF competition, after easily seeing off her American and Curacao opponents.
Nigerian Tennis Live checks showed that Marylove was responsible for the defeat of America’s Sheridan Sanford in a 6-0, 6-0 game and also saw off Luna Schuurman from Curacao in a blistering 6-0, 6-1 win in her two qualifying matches on Saturday, 23 and Sunday, 24 June respectively.
With this result, Marylove, the 2017 CBN Senior Tennis Open Championship finalist, may be on her way to registering her first ITF point in the junior cadre of tennis.
Nigerian Tennis Live is sure to monitor her progress in the tournament and report to our teeming readers as the competition continues.
