Kenyans, Ghanaians Vow To Return To Nigeria For PUMA Engineering ITF Wheelchair Tennis Tournament
Kenyan and Ghanaian players who participated at the recently held PUMA Engineering ITF Wheelchair Tennis tournament in Abuja have vowed to return to the country for the next edition.
The ITF competition which was won by Nigerian Wheelchair tennis stars recently, brought the African wheelchair tennis players together for the second consecutive year.
And in a report gathered by Nigeria Tennis Live, the players have vowed to return to Nigeria for the 2020 edition because they enjoyed their stay in Abuja.
Winner of the competition, Wasiu Yusuf who’s one of Africa’s top stars, noted in a brief chat with our correspondent that the other African players were very happy with the atmosphere in Nigeria.
“The players were very happy with the competitive nature of the game in Nigeria,” the African super star began with a smile.
“The players, especially those from Kenya and Ghana were very excited, and they kept saying ‘I will come back here next here, I really like it out here’ and I was really glad.
“This year’s tournament was a very interesting one, really. I enjoyed myself because it was very competitive,” he added.
The Nigerian players will soon kick off preparation to attend a week-long ITF competition in Kenya to cap off a year of few activities for the wheelchair tennis players.
