JUST IN: After Singles Disaster; Enosoregbe, Babalola Lose Doubles To Number Four Seed

The Nigerian pair of Clifford Enosoregbe and Abdulmumuni Babalola have been dumped out of the first leg of the Governor’s Cup Lagos Tennis Championship by the number four seed in the team event.

Enosoregbe and Babalola had lost their Singles match earlier in the day and had thought they could bounce back in the doubles, but their hopes were dashed by their more experienced opponent.

Tom Jomby and Sebastien Johan Tatlot from France were, although, made to fight for their win as they won the first set through a tie breaker 7-6(2), and did the same in the second set before winning 7-6 (4).

This loss for the Nigerian pair means they will have to bide their time and wait until the second leg before they can stand any chance of further participating in the ITF pro-circuit which is regarded as the biggest in West an Central Africa.
