Marylove Edwards seems to have gone past the challenges in her two previous tournaments as she has been in blistering form at the ITF Junior Circuit in Kenya, with two impressive results so far.
Nigeria Tennis Live had reported that the youngster would be taking on an unseeded Kenyan player in the second round of the in Grade 5 Championship on Tuesday, and she has completed the match winning 6-0, 6-3 in two quick sets.
This was after a final set win against an Indian player in her first match in the Kenyan competition which is coming on clay court.
The result means that she has set up a meeting with America’s Tsehay Driscoll for a place in the semis of the tournament.
Nigeria Tennis Live findings revealed that the Nigerian youngster already has her work cut out as the American defeated the tournament’s number four seed to secure a quarterfinal spot.
She will need to bring all her experience to play when action resumes on Wednesday as the competition gets to its business end.
