Japa! Coach Abel Relocates To US, Says It’s Time To Move On

Coach Abel Ubiebi, one of Nigeria’s most revered junior tennis coaches, has relocated to the United States of America (USA).

The vastly traveled and experienced ‘talent hunter’ confirmed to our correspondent last week, that he has decided to relocate to the US after getting a really good offer he couldn’t turn down.

He said: “I want to inform you that I left Naija for good, sir.

I got a better work opportunity in US, so I had to move.”

Coach Ubiebi, renown for unearthing and patiently grooming talents has coached many youngsters who have grown through the ranks over the years.

Most notable among them are current male and female Nigerian number one players, Joseph Imeh and Oyinlomo Quadre.

Also, US-based high flying Nigerian tennis sensation, Christopher Bulus, is one of the players who have passed through the talented PTR Tester.

Apart from coaching players, Coach Abel also mentors and trains young tennis coaches through the PTR Certification Courses which he hosts from time to time.

Having contributed immensely to junior tennis growth and development in the country, the Delta-born tactician stated in the chat with our correspondent, that he is now taking his passion to the States.

It’s time to move on after many years of passionately contributing my own quota to Naija tennis,” Coach Ubiebi informed Nigeria Tennis Live.

He has since resumed at the XS Tennis Academy, Chicago as one of the tennis coaches.

“No more `RED CROSS’ job,” the ACES Tennis Academy Boss added, on the prospects with his new job.
