Daniel Adeleye has defeated Prosperity Okonkwo to win the boys Singles final at the J60 Accra event in Ghana, Nigeria Tennis Live can report.
Adeleye made that his second consecutive J60 title in Ghana and his fifth junior ITF title in 2024, after initial wins at the J30 & J60 Abuja event earlier this year.

In a two set match which was decided on Saturday, 5 October, 2024, the Davis Cup player ensured that he was extremely clinical against his opponent who also boasts brilliant tennis techniques.
The Lagos-based youngster won 6-4, 6-1 and looks set to close up the gap at the top of the junior ITF rankings for African players.

The final match was a repeat of the J30 finale in Abuja a few months ago, which Adeleye lost badly, but he may have made up for it with the brilliant win against Okonkwo.
With the 60 points acquired after winning this match, there are chances that the Lagos Country Club player may have retaken his spot as Nigeria’s top ranked junior player on the ITF ranking.
