Nigeria’s Wilson Igbinovia and Marylove Edwards are just one win each away from being crowned Grade 5 Junior ITF Champions in Lome, Togo.

The youngsters have been in blistering form all week and can only cap their amazing performances with a win in their respective events.

Wilson, the boys’ number one seed, is up against Hod’abalo isakPadio from Togo, who is the event’s number two seed.

The Nigerian youngster is yet to drop a set in the competition (in Lome), and as the highest ranked Nigerian on the male junior ITF circuit, he may yet defeat his opponent without dropping any set.

Wilson is confident ahead of the encounter and is certain of a win, as this will cement his place as the hottest Nigerian male junior player at the moment.

In the female event, Marylove, who has kept improving after a second round scare, will have her hands full when she takes on Flora Johnson from Great Britain in their final encounter.

Both players, number one and two seeds will surely be a match for each other, and will give spectators a good spectacle on Saturday.

By and large, Nigerians will be rooting for the pair to come out tops in the competition and improve on their ranking spots.

Nigeria Tennis Live will keep monitoring the players’ activities in Lome, Togo, and report every update to our teeming audience scattered across the globe.
