Prosperity Okonkwo is slowly and steadily playing his way into the final of the J30 Accra ITF event presently taking place in Ghana.
The Abuja-based tennis prodigy is the tournament’s number one seed, and has proven his mettle since the competition started, reaching the semifinal of the event in the process.
After defeating a relentless Aditya Mor from India in the quarterfinal, he will be up against Mubarak Ganiyu for a place in the final.

The all-Nigeria semifinal clash means that at least one Nigerian player is guaranteed a spot in the final of the J30 event for the second consecutive week.
The second semifinal match also involves Nigeria’s Franklin Jimoh who is hoping for back-to-back final appearance at the ongoing Junior ITF event.

He defeated Moye Lucas Nadal Koffi from Cote d’Ivoire in two straight sets of 6-2, 6-2 to set up a semifinal clash against Rahpael Nii Nortey, Ghana’s remaining representative at the tournament.
This clash is a repeat of the week one final between the pair which the Ghanaian player ran away with after a final set battle against Jimoh.
All eyes will be on both players in what promises to be another classic clash at the ongoing J30 Accra event in Ghana.
