J100 Harare: Ogunsakin, Adeleye In Doubles, Singles Semis, Q/Final
The Nigerian pair of Daniel Adeleye and Seun Ogunsakin are going strong at the ongoing J100 Harare event in Zimbabwe, Nigeria Tennis Live has gathered.
The teenage tennis stars, both from Ekiti State, did very well to reach the quarterfinal of the Singles event in Zimbabwe and partnered each other to advance to the Doubles’ semifinals.
Ogunsakin who continued his fine form in the South African country, ensured a two-set victory over Sehaj Singh Pawar from India.

The Tunisia-based Nigerian tennis prodigy was made to fight for his victory before he ended up winning 6-4, 7-6(4) and book a place in the quarterfinal of the competition.
Also, Adeleye needed a tie break to confirm his victory over Taisei Hata from Japan as he finished the match 7-6(1), 6-0.
After securing their spots in the Singles quarterfinals, Adeleye and Ogunsakin, seeded four in the Doubles, worked hand in hand to guarantee a semifinal place in Zimbabwe.

The Nigerian boys defeated the pair of Canada’s Jay Lin Gibson and Hata in a fierce contest that was decided via a match tie break. It ended 2-6, 7-5, 10-8 to put the winners in a good spot for the final round of Doubles event.
Ohunene Yakubu, the only female Nigerian player at the tournament, was not so lucky with her matches as she lost in both the Singles and Doubles events today.
