ITF Rankings: Oyinlomo Drops 19 Places, Now Ranked No. 4 In Africa
Oyinlomo Quadre from Nigeria has dropped 19 places on the recent ITF rankings recently released by the world tennis governing body.
Nigeria Tennis Live gathered that the youngster who has not played junior ITF competitions in the past few months, the last coming in Algeria in April where she played to the quarterfinal stage before losing out.
Since then, she has played and won the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) senior tennis open and also led team Nigeria to a bronze medal finish at the recently concluded African Games in Rabat, Morocco.
The youngster shot into the top 200 in the world after winning her first ever Grade 3 Junior ITF Circuit, and rose to 177 after her exploits in other competitions as well.
Presently, she has dropped 19 places from her former ranking position to stand at 196 in the world, and from her number three position in Africa, she’s now the fourth most rated youngster on the continent.
She has vowed to bounce back from this recent setback as she hopes to participate in more junior tournaments before the end of the year.
“I want to get back better and stronger by playing more junior ITF circuits before the end of this year,” she told Nigeria Tennis Live via a short chat.
