Riding on her recent triumph for Nigeria at the U-16 AJC Tournament in Tunisia, young tennis sensation, Oyinlomo Quadre, is presently making the country proud at the ITF Grade 3 tournament in North Africa.

Nigeria Tennis Live findings reveal that Quadre, ranked 320 in world junior tennis, thrashed Tunisia’s Amel Sammari in the first round, to set up a meeting with Morocco’s Sara Akid for a place in the quarterfinal of the competition.

The tournament which is one of the top junior ITF championships in the world, offers youngsters the opportunity to boost their rankings and step up their game, and the Nigerian teenage sensation will not be an exception.

Quadre, who is enjoying her scholarship at the ITF High Performance Centre in Morocco, will fancy her chances of advancing (at the expense of the world’s 240 ranked player) to the next stage of the competition as she has been in form of recent.

She will also want to hastily forget her disappointing semifinal loss in the AJC tournament at a time when she could have easily moved to the final of the competition.
