As initially reported by this medium, the event was meant to be a two-week competition, but seeing the one-week date on the ITF website, Nigeria Tennis Live sought a clarification from the NTF Secretary, Makpa Aliyu.

He noted that there are chances that the tournament will be held across two weeks, as that was the proposal submitted to the world tennis governing body.

Nigerian players who are forty (40) years and above are encouraged to register for the competition which gives ITF rankings and is generally accepted across the globe.

Nigeria Tennis Live will keep our readers updated on requirements for registration as well as all the details about the competition.
