ITF/CAT AJC Qualifiers: Nigerian Youngsters Excited To Represent Nigeria

Feelers from the Nigerian camp in Lome, Togo, have it that the youngsters are buzzing to represent the nation at the ongoing ITF/CAT West & Central African Junior Championships in the West African country.

The players numbering about twelve stormed the West African country on Sunday evening, in their quest to secure qualification for the World Junior Championship and Junior Davis Cup competition, and are already excited about the challenge.

Coach Abel Ubiebi who took the team to Togo alongside Akinwunmi Ogunshakin from Ekiti State, informed Nigeria Tennis Live from their base that the players raring to go for Nigeria in the competition.

According to him: “All the kids are excited, full of energy and good to go to represent Nigeria very well to the best of their abilities.

“So, I can assure you that we are ready to compete as soon as we get to know our opponents.”

The draws for the competition are expected to be made this morning in Togo, but Nigeria Tennis Live is yet to get the details, but will share with our teeming followers and readers.

Meanwhile, our correspondent gathered that the weather in Togo is harsh, even though the harmattan in the West African country may not be as tough as what is presently being experienced in most parts of the country.
