    Incoming NTF President Drums Maximum Support For Governor’s Cup

    Engr. Dayo Akindoju, the president elect of the Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF), has drummed support for the Governor’s Cup Lagos Tennis Championship billed to hold in October, 2017.

    This much was revealed to Naija Tennis Special by Prince Wale Oladunjoye, the tournament director of the ITF-ranked pro circuit.

    Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, presenting a trophy to Takanyi Garanganga, one of the winners at the last edition of the ITF Pro-circuit in Lagos.

    He disclosed that the new NTF President spoke about the tournament and he assured that “as God is willing, we will keep attracting emerging stars across the globe to Lagos, Nigeria.

    “This will enable them rub shoulders with the very best in the game and enable them pick so much in skills and ideas.”

    According to Prince Oladunjoye, Engr. Akindoju also pledged continuous support for the Governor’s Cup and vowed to make it the biggest Tennis Tournament in Africa, Europe, Asia and parts of South America.

    The 2017 edition of the Governor’s Cup Lagos Championship is scheduled to hold from October 9-21 at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Onikan, Lagos.
