If Nigeria Can Get 18 Weeks Of Junior ITF Tourneys, We Can Also Get 20 – Ghanaian Player Boasts
If Nigeria can aspire to have 18 weeks of Junior ITF Tournaments, then Ghana will ensure they get 20 weeks of the same.
This was the assertion of Bernard Nii Ashitey, a Ghanaian tennis player, after reading Nigeria Tennis Live‘s report that the Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF) has applied for 18 weeks of Junior ITF competitions in Nigeria.
Engr. Ifedayo Akindoju, the NTF President had exclusively informed our correspondent that the federation is looking forward to having about 18 weeks of junior championships.
He noted that if other smaller countries could organize junior ITF tournaments, Nigeria can do better if we put our hearts to it.
And immediately after the report, Ashitey wrote on our Facebook Page that Ghana will gun for 20 weeks of Junior ITF tournaments if Nigeria will seek to host 18 weeks.
He wrote: “Wow. We are getting 20. Let’s go Ghana. I give you all the respect Nigeria. It’s a great start.”
