    Ibadan Again! Adamasingba Set For End Of Year Tennis Fiesta

    The tennis section of the Adamasingba Stadium in Ibadan, Oyo State, is set for her inaugural end of the year tennis fiesta, Nigeria Tennis Live has gathered.

    Recall that the Ibadan Recreation Club recently hosted the Tennis Fest 2.0 which brought tennis enthusiasts from different parts of the country to the Oyo State capital.

    Now, the tennis section of the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba is gathering junior and professional tennis players for one day for exhibition matches as well as some other fun activities.

    According to Coach Tirimisiyu Ganiyu, the event is an initiative of Mr. Abiodun Idowu, Mr. Seun Elegbede and Mr. Bakare Adekunle, and is targeted at getting celebrating the end of their tennis season.

    He explained that: “We want to celebrate our club fiesta as a club at Adamasingba Stadium tennis club ‘ADS Tennis Club’ on the 7th of December 2024 at Lekan Salami Stadium Adamasingba stadium tennis courts. The initiators of the program are Mr. Abiodun Idowu, Mr. Seun Elegbede and Mr. Bakare Adekunle.

    “The activities on that day will start by 7am with round robin doubles game, exhibition matches from our 10 and under boys and girls mixed doubles, entertainment matches from our professional players and merriment and dancing skills to wrap the day off.

    “After the tennis activities, we will eat, drink and dance. Thanks”.

    Ibadan has produced some of the best tennis players for Nigeria in the past including the likes of Sarah Adegoke and the legendary Abdulmumin Babalola, among others.

    It would, therefore, be interesting to see the level of tennis that will be on display during the tennis fiesta at the club.
