Young Nigerian junior tennis superstar, Oyinlomo Quadre, has revealed that she misses her coach, after her recent performances on the court dipped.

The ACES Tennis Academy player who is presently at the ITF High-Performance Centre in Morocco, has not been able to live up to expectations in her recent matches, a development which has not left her happy.

And in a chat with Nigeria Tennis Live, the highly-rated youngster who is ranked among the top 400 junior tennis players in the world, explained how she had a bad day on the court and how she could not figure out that exactly was wrong.

    • Oyinlomo Quadre has explained that she sorely misses her coach.

She said: “It was a bad day for me. I struggled with a lot of things and that’s what happened.”

Asked if she was missing her coach (Abel Ubiebi), Quadre laughed and said she misses him because he would have been able to help her figure out her weak points and helped her work on them.

“Hahaha yes kind of,” she replied, adding also that: “Anyway that day was a bad day and that’s why I have no explanation as to what happened in that match cause nothing was working and I had to figure it out on my own.”

Quadre has since moved on from the challenges of losing out in those matches and is now focusing on getting better.

According to her: “My next move is to keep playing matches, keep playing tournaments.

“I figured out that lack of tournaments is causing a lot of rustiness on court.”
