How Amasiani Defeated Olawale To Win 21st Junior Title In Three Years
Talented Nigerian tennis sensation, Chukwudubem Amasiani, has won his 21st junior tennis title, barely three years into his tennis journey.
The 13-year-old Abuja-based tennis prodigy was at his very best last weekend when he participated in the 2024 NNPC/SNEPCo Junior Tennis Tournament in Warri, Delta State.
He defeated current National Youth Games champion, Gbolahan Olawale, in a thrilling match that was full of excitement and thrills.

With this win, Amasiani has now recorded 21 title wins after reaching 28 finals in less than three years since he shot into limelight with competitive tennis.
Amasiani was not the only one who had an amazing outing at the NNPC/SNEPCo competition, Aina Goodnews also ensured she won her first junior tennis title on the International Tennis Academy (ITA) circuit.
The Ekiti-born tennis sensation defeated fellow Ekiti compatriot, Gloria Samuel, in what was another thrilling finale at the tennis court inside the PTI Staff Club, Warri.
After the match, the excited youngster said: “My mother told me I should never lose another final again that I have lost too many finals. I am very glad I made her happy”.

Lagos boy, Yahaya Isa and Mofifunoluwa Atilola won the boys and girls 14 titles respectively after beating Daniel Udemekong from the Port Harcourt-based Kodian Tennis Academy and Success Godwin from Lagos State.
On why the competition was taken to Warry community, Godwin Kienka, the director of the ITA, organizers of the event, said that the essence was to motivate young boys and girls in the Warri community to look at sports generally and tennis in particular as windows of opportunity to change their fortune for the better.
