Heritage Tennis Club Wears New Look, Gears Up For Predators League

There is an exciting buzz around the Heritage Tennis Club in Ogba, Lagos, as the club members gear up for the second edition of the Predators League.

Nigeria Tennis Live gathered that the fist edition of the tournament was held a few months ago, and it was won by Blue Leopards – one of the teams at the tennis club.

Now, as part of the plans to unveil their newly-renovated tennis court, the tennis club is organizing a second leg of the competition which involves four teams.

Blue Leopards won the last edition of the Predators League.

Mr. Yomi Akinyemi, the captain of the Heritage Tennis Club, informed our correspondent that the event is scheduled to serve off by 8am on Saturday, 30 November, inside the LSDPC Medium Housing Estate Scheme IV, Ogba, Lagos.

“The opening of our newly renovated tennis court will be followed by an all day tennis tournament called the Predators League, it is an internal tournament of the Heritage Tennis Club.

“The four competing teams are White Lions, Red Tigers, Blue Leopards and Black Panthers. We had the first edition a few months ago and Blue Leopards won it. This one is like a top up league,” Mr. Akinyemi told Nigeria Tennis Live.

He also added: “We had the main league a few months ago. It ran for two months and teams were competing on points and moving up and down a league table. This one is a similar competition but of a shorter duration.

“People can come from anywhere to watch our matches on Saturday, we start by 8am and the tournament will be on for the whole day”.
