FACT CHECK: Oyinlomo Withdraws From Junior ITF Tournament In Algeria, Reason Unknown
Nigeria Tennis Live fact checks have revealed that budding Nigerian teenage tennis sensation, Oyinlomo Quadre, has withdrawn her participation from a Junior ITF Tournament in Algeria after initially being seeded seven for the competition.
Ranked 314 in the world, Quadre had been scheduled to participate in the Grade 4 ITF Junior competition which will run from 26 February to 2 March, but the recent checks by our correspondent revealed that she will no longer be participating in the tournament.
After participating in a Junior ITF tournament in Tunisia, where she could not make it to the toughest stage, the youngster had told Nigeria Tennis Live that she was setting her sights on another competition in Algeria.
But recent developments have now proven that she is not going to play any part in the competition in Algiers, Algeria.
The Morocco-based superstar was also billed to play in another Grade 4 ITF tournament in Algeria scheduled to hold from 5-9 March, 2019 but she has also withdrawn from the competition.
Nigeria Tennis Live will reach out to the player to find out the reason for the withdrawal, as many Nigerians were already looking forward to the tournament, especially the one reported earlier.
