Christopher Bulus has revealed that one of his motivations going into the Davis Cup Africa Group III Qualifiers is the love for family and the country.

The Nigerian top player at the Davis Cup event noted that he does not expect anything other than promotion to Group II after the team reached Group III during a nervy encounter in Rwanda in 2023.

During the media briefing to inform Nigerians about the commencement of the competition, the US-based Nigerian ATP player told journalists that he trusts his teammates and expects a great outing for team Nigeria.

“The leadership in this team is the type that we all exhibited in Rwanda when we gained promotion to Group III and that is what we all will be showing here ahead of the competition,” Bulus stated when asked how his leadership skills can propel the team to gain promotion.

On what his motivation would be going into the tournament, he noted that “we are doing this for the love of family and country, and that’s what matters here.

“I believe in my teammates and because we’ve trained so hard for this, hopefully, we gain promotion to Group II and we see from there.”
