Davis Cup Updates Nigeria’s Team List For Africa Group III Qualifier
Nigeria Tennis Live can authoritatively report that the list of players to represent Nigeria at the Davis Cup Africa Group III qualifier has been updated.
Initially, the players listed to represent Nigeria at the promotional competition were David Ekpenyong, Christopher Bulus, Daniel Adeleye, Uche Oparaoji and Michael Emmanuel.
However, following the report that Nigeria’s number one player, Ekpenyong, was facing disciplinary actions by his Academy and as a result, could not train with the other players in camp, he was excluded from the team list.

Nigeria Tennis Live, in a recent report, informed the public that there were feelers that he may have been dropped from the Davis Cup team as he was not seen training with the rest of the team.
And as at the time of filing that report, the Davis Cup website had yet to update the team list to reflect the changes made to the players representing Nigeria.
But recent checks by our correspondent have shown that the team list has now been updated to reflect the new change by the national team handlers.

As at Thursday, 11 July, Nigeria Tennis Live confirmed that the new list of players representing Nigeria at the Davis Cup Africa Group III qualifier, as stated on the official website for the event include: Christopher Bulus, Wilson Igbinovia, Uchenna Oparaoji, Daniel Adeleye and Michael Emmanuel.
The Davis Cup event will serve off officially with the opening ceremony on Tuesday, 16 July, 2024, while matches will start immediately afterwards.
