Davis Cup Players At War As Dala Hard Court Tourney Serves Off
Two Davis Cup players, Daniel Adeleye and Michael Emmanuel will set the stage for a sensational start to the Dala Hard Court championship in Kano, northern Nigeria.
The match-up is one of the first round encounters at the Dala Tennis Championship which serves off on Monday, 18 November, 2025.
While the male players already have the Main Draw confirmed, the final round of the female players will be concluded on Monday ahead of the event.
But in the Main Draw and order of play obtained by Nigeria Tennis Live on Sunday evening, some mouth-watering matches have been lined up for match day one.

Adeleye, Nigeria’s highest ranked junior player, will be up against the sensational Michael, who did not lose a single match at the recently-held Davis Cup event in Abuja, Nigeria’s federal capital.
It is one of those matches Nigerians will be really keen on watching for the high level of tennis that can be expected from the clash of titans.
Musa Yahaya who got a Wild Card to participate in the event will have to contend against former top junior player, Christopher Itodo while former Nigerian number one, Thomas Otu will trade serves against Yau Sani in the other Men’s Singles encounters on Monday.
In other matches, Success Ogunjobi and Blessing Otu will go toe-to-toe to determine who reaches the Women’s Singles event which is expected to be a draw of 16.

Also, Idowu Olagundoye and Favour Godwin will battle for one of the Women’s Singles Main Draw tickets, Osato Okiri and Puriniman Bajo will face each other while Loveth Ogah and Charity Christopher will be in contention for the final slot.
The Doubles matches will also serve off on Monday, with a number of interesting match ups as well, as one of Nigeria’s oldest tennis competitions comes alive.
