Oyinlomo Quadre, Nigeria’s number three female tennis player, will have to be in her best character in her final match against Aanu Ayegbusi, the number four star, at the Dala Hard Court tennis championship in Kano State.

Quadre who is a good form, having recently won a junior ITF title in Abuja, had crushed every opponent on her way to reaching the final.

But Ayegbusi is no push over has she has shown with her sterling performances over the years, upsetting higher ranked players and bursting brains with her impeccable ability on and off the court.

She got the better of Nigerian number one female, Blessing Samuel, in a thrilling final set game on Friday, to set up her clash with Quadre.

And tennis observers who believe the Morocco-based Quadre stands a better chance of lifting her second consecutive national title today, will have a rethink about the University of Port Harcourt Alumnus.

The pre-match statistics have now set the stage for a memorable finale in the female tennis category which had hitherto, been a one-sided affair.
