Dala Championship: Fireworks In Kano As Enosoregbe Takes On Moses

Clifford Enosoregbe, Nigeria’s former number one player, will have his hands full this morning when he takes on current national champion, Moses Michael at the Dala Hard Court Tennis Championships.

Clifford Enosoregbe will have his hands full when he takes on Michael Moses this morning.

Enosoregbe, a former winner of the tournament, told our correspondent on Wednesday morning, that he would try to stay within distance of striking his opponent to win the grudge match.

Although Moses is seen as a fighter on the court, Enosoregbe’s experience having represented Nigeria at the All Africa Games and won gold medal in tennis with longtime friend, Onyeka Mbanu, will come in handy at the Kano tournament.

“All I can say is that I will do my best to win the match,” Enosoregbe said.

“I guess it’s like a final match to him, so I’ll have to be careful because he is also a really good player on his day,” the 2016 Governor’s Cup quarter-finalist added.

Moses Michael will have to stand his ground to be able to get the better of his more experienced counterpart this morning.

The Dala Hard Court Championship is the oldest surviving national tournament in Nigeria and is being majorly sponsored by First Bank of Nigeria plc.

The championship will end this weekend where the winners of the men and women’s singles would be presented with their trophies.
