The ongoing Chevon Junior Tennis Development Clinic will climax with a junior championship in March.
Nigeria Tennis Live gathered that the clinic which kicked off in Warri last December with a tennis clinic and enlightenment talk, is aimed at giving the children a little more than tennis skills.
Making this revelation to our correspondent is Godwin Kienka, the Director of the International Tennis Academy, who explained that the training program aims to give the participants the basic tennis skills, information to enable them take up the sport for recreation or competition and knowledge to follow the game at the highest level.
“In addition, they get tips on how to succeed in life and be good citizens,” Kienka explained.
Warri, Lagos, Akure, Port Harcourt/Yenegoa and Abuja are some of the cities where the clinic will be taken to before the tournament holds in March.
Stay tuned to Nigeria Tennis Live to get more updates from the championship when the date for the tournament is announced.
