CAT U-12: Coach Abel Gives Important Update As Team Nigeria Battle Eight Other Nations In Benin

The Nigerian youngsters presently in Benin Republic for the CAT U-12 championship are reportedly in high spirits ahead of the kick off.

Nigeria Tennis Live reports that the players who landed on the shores of the French-speaking colony on Monday, are hoping to better their previous performance at the tournament.

The coach, Abel Ubiebi, informed our correspondent that the budding starlets are ready to give their all for the country when hostilities kick off later today.

He also revealed that national U-12 champion, Oluwaseun Ogunshakin, was voted as the team’s captain for the tournament.

“The team is in high spirit as we want to perform better than last year,” the ACES Tennis Academy boss informed.

Nigeria Tennis Live gathered that while the draws will be made by 8am today, action will kick off by 9am on Tuesday.

The experienced youngsters will be up against opponents from eight other African countries, including Ghana, Benin, Gabon, Sierra Leone, Togo, Mali, Senegal and Burkina Faso.
