BREAKING: Sylvester ‘The Beast’ Beats Imeh Hands Down To Reach CBN Open Semis

Sylvester Emmanuel has just defeated Joseph Imeh, Nigeria’s number one male tennis player in two straight sets of 6-2, 6-2 to qualify for the semi final of the ongoing Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Senior Tennis Championship in Abuja.

Nigerian Tennis Live feelers have it that the match was pretty much one-sided as Sylvester, a former national champion, came to the party more than the current Nigerian number one player.

Both players share a hug after the match in the spirit of sheer sportsmanship. Photo credit: Ewaoche Ameh.

With this result, Imeh is likely to lose his place as Nigeria’s top player at the end of this competition seeing that he did not make it past the quarter final stage of the 40th edition of the CBN Open championship.

Nigerian Tennis Live will keep bringing you updates from other matches that are presently being played at the tournament which is getting really heated up inside the tennis section of the National Stadium in Abuja.
