Organizers of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) have announced 21 June as the commencement date for this year’s tennis championship.
This much was confirmed to Nigerian Tennis Live by Engr. Dayo Akindoju, the President of the Nigeria Tennis Federation, via a text message on Friday afternoon.
Nigerian tennis players will be excited about this news as this is the first tournament of the year.
In the text message sent to our correspondent, the NTF President wrote: “CBN fixed June 21.”
With this development, the Nigerian players participating in the 2018 Davis Cup Tournament may not be available for the national tournament.
More details about this tournament shall be made known to the public as they unfold.
