Nigeria’s Adesuwa Osabuohien has won the 2024 edition of the Kikuxi Tennis Open in Luanda, Angola, after defeating Cynthia Wanjala from Kenya.
Osabuohien has been unarguably the most clinical player all week, and expectedly won the Women’s Singles title after a week of intense tennis competition.
The Nigerian Billie Jean King Cup captain did not as much as drop a set in any of her matches, as she cleaned them up in two straights each.

And on Sunday morning, in the Women’s Singles final, Osabuohien proved why she’s one of the best players out of Africa by defeating her Kenyan opponent 6-2, 6-0.
Thus, the WTA player is the winner of the Women’s Singles, and will pocket the $2,000 prize money for her efforts throughout the week.
The Kikuxi Tennis Open which served off on Monday, 19 August, ends on Sunday, 25 August, 2024 with the Men and Women’s Singles final matches.

The 29-year-old US-based Nigerian athlete is expected to continue participating in WTA tournaments and keep her good form on tour.
