Prospective coaches or those who seek to broaden their coaching knowledge can now start preparing for the next PTR Coaching Certification Course.

The PTR Certification Course in Nigeria is always administered by respected and highly-recommended Coach Abel Ubiebi, who is a certified PTR Coach Developer.

The last time it was held was in 2023, when he returned to the country from his Chicago, United States of America base, to take on the coaches who came to Lagos from different parts of the country.

And in recent weeks, our correspondent had been inundated with calls by coaches and intending coaches on when the next certification courses would be held as they are keen to participate.

Nigeria Tennis Live then took it upon themselves to reach out to the PTR Tester, to find out if there were plans to have the certification course anytime soon.

Coach Ubiebi, founder of the Aces Tennis Academy in Lagos, noted that there were already plans in place to have the certification course, even though this has not been totally concluded yet.

When asked if he was preparing to host the training, he said: “Yes, actually, we are hoping to finalize a few details before giving a date for the course next year, but it is likely to hold early next year for those who are interested”.

Intending coaches or coaches who are interested in the Level 1 certification course are expected to pay $400 fee or its naira equivalence at the time of making the payment – this is the stipulated fee for the programme.

Coach Ubiebi added that “we will surely inform the general public about the date and time for the event ahead of time so that people can adequately prepare”.

Nigeria Tennis Live will also keep our readers posted on the latest information regarding the coaching programme as quite a number of coaches and intending coaches seem to be keen on participating.
