AZIMUTH Junior Tennis: Sponsor Plans Big Ahead Of Grand Finale
Captain Martins Owolabi, the sponsor of the AZIMUTH Shipping Lines Limited Junior Tennis Tournament, is reportedly planning big for the finals of the competition which holds on Saturday, 25 January.
The tournament which kicked off on Monday, 20 January, had over 200 kids in attendance, the first of its kind in the (recent) history of junior championships in the country.
Nigeria Tennis Live reports that the children all kitted in the tournament’s branded t-shirts competed at the highest level during the weeklong event, with the finalists emerging on Friday, 24 January.
Coach Richard Inyang, the tournament director, has now informed our correspondent that Captain Owolabi, the MD/CEO of AZIMUTH Shipping Lines Limited, is hoping to end the competition on a resounding note.
He noted that the amazing tennis aficionado has been impressed with the competitive nature of the youngsters who stormed the tennis section of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, from about fifteen states of the federation.
“What I can tell you categorically is that the sponsor is really happy about the tournament and he is planning big for the finals.
“We are encouraging people to come out for the finals on Saturday, it will be a really exciting finale,” Coach Inyang of the VGC Tennis Club, enthused.
