AJC Qualifiers: Team Nigeria Set For Showdown Against Mali, Ghana, Cameroon As Team Event Kicks Off
It will be another season of immense competition when Team Nigeria get their team event underway at the ongoing ITF West and Central Africa Junior Championships (AJC) in Lome, Togo.
The Nigerian contingent to the competition gave a good account of themselves when they emerged as favourites to win four gold medals but ended up with two gold and two silver at the first phase of the tournament.
Now, the team event is set to kick off and the Coach Abel Ubiebi-tutored side are battle ready to ensure that they defend their title at the annual competition.
Nigeria Tennis Live gathered that the team will kick off the day with the U-16 boys taking on Mali while the U-14 girls will take on their Cameroonian counterparts.
In the other fixtures, the U-16 girls have a date with their Ghanaian opponents while the U-14 boys will trade tackles against the boys from Mali as Nigeria look forward to showing their prowess in the West African region.
