Oyinlomo Quadre is definitely not having the best of times at the ongoing Grade 2 Junior ITF event in Tunisia, having lost her first round singles matches across two legs.

The youngster who’s hopeful of ending the year as a top 50 junior star, has now played two weeks of competitive action at the J2 Tunis event where she is one of the top seeds.

But she has been unable to reenact the form which made opponents dread her on the courts in the last 12 months.

Like in the first week of the competition, Quadre lost in the final set of her match against unseeded Lois Bosson from France.

The Nigerian lost the first set 3-6, won the second 6-2, and fought really hard in the final set before capitulating to a 4-6 defeat.

This is the first time in recent years that the youngster is losing her first round matches in two consecutive weeks of junior ITF competition.

Having also lost in the doubles event, the youngster will focus on other junior competitions as she continues her tennis development and competitiveness.

Nigeria Tennis Live will keep up with updates on the players’ performance and progress in the coming weeks and report to our teeming audience.
