After Reaching M15 Vaasa Semis, Bulus Hits Highest Ever ATP Ranking

Nigeria’s Christopher Bulus has continued soaring on the ATP Ranking after his consistent impressive performances on the tennis circuit.

Bulus, Nigeria’s only player on the ATP ranking, reached the semifinal of an M15 tournament for the first time ever during the M15 Vaasa event in Finland last week.

He lost to Guillaume Dalmasso in a final set match that ended 5-7, 6-2, 4-6 in what would have been his first final appearance on the pro circuit since he started playing a few years ago.

Previously, his highest career rank on the ATP was 1127, which he attained a few months ago, but his recent performances have pushed him further up on the log as he continues putting Nigeria on the global tennis map.

Recall that he was a quarterfinalist at the M15 Xativa event in Spain two weeks ago, which was also a first for him, a development which shot him up by 82 places on the ATP rankings.

His current run of form has seen him reach a career-high ranking spot after his consistency on the courts in the past few weeks, especially since the Davis Cup event which Nigeria hosted in Abuja, the nation’s Federal Capital.
